Specifics of the Registration of a Club Membership

For Those With a Clubcode:

I Download the Software

Before you can use your Shop-/Club code, you must download the software from our server by clicking on the appropriate Link .

But, let's suppose that you are a new customer.

  1. First download the Basis Installer. Also, make sure that you select the right platform (Macintosh or Windows).

    After the download is complete, please expand the downloaded files. Under Macintosh you get an image file. Please open it. Under Windows you have to start only the installer file.

  2. Finally you can download our club test version and and place it in the folder with the other program components. This version is the last developement of our software. You get every 1. of a month a new versionan it expires at the of the month.

II Entering the Codes

After you have all of the components in your game folder, start the program by double-clicking on its icon. If everything has been downloaded and installed properly, the program will start and you will see the following registration window:

Fill out all of the fields except the field for "Serial Number". Click OK and you can play. After this point the program is activated and you have 10 days to complete the registration process as described below.

Note: If you have more activationcodes, you can register their in the Club menu "New Activation Code...".

III Extending the Activation

You can play for ten days without doing anything more. To activate your membership, however, you must register on our server within this time frame after which we will send you an individual club code via e-mail. The purchase of one license entitles you to use the software on one computer and you indicate as part of the registration process which computer you want to use and for how long. A change of computers is only possible at the end of a registration period.

Here's and example:

    Suppose that you have a one-year club membership. You could choose to register a particular computer only for the first three months, leaving the remaining nine months open for the same or a different computer. If you want to be able to use two computers at the same time, then a second license is required.

The registration process is handled through the following window. You call it up from within the program: In the internet menu, select the command, Manage Activation Code:

The most simply way goes the activation is, if you click in "3. Step " to "Direct send". At this time you must have an active InterNet connection, because our software contacts automatically the club server and regulates the activation. A result is displayed immediately to you.

Alternatively to this direct solution you can handle activation also by email, so that you can activate also
computers, which do not have an InterNet access.

Simply click on, "Copy to Clipboard." Then start your e-mail program and call up a new e-mail. The text can then simply be pasted into the e-mail from the clipboard.. The address should be "". Please do not type the text into the e-mail as errors are likely.

If you are using a Macintosh, you can simply click on "Send E-Mail" which will automatically create the e-mail for you. You can then simply click, "Send" to finish this step.

Note: The EMAIL have to be a plain text message.

You will then hear from us by return e-mail within one or two days.

Your registration e-mail is handled by our automated server which creates your club code and stores the registration informaiton. This ensures that each code can be used only once and matches to a specific computer ID. Once the information is received and checked, you will receive an automated response with your code. For security, this is sent to you as an encrypted message..

III a ) Extending a Membership

The process is the same as in the initial registration desceibed above. Select the menu command, Manage Activation Code and select the term desired. Then send us the e-mail described above .

Note: The term of your membership will be properly reflected only after you receive the confirmation e-mail from us.

III b) What do I do with the Confirmation E-Mail?

When you have received our confirmation e-mail, please do the following:

  • Copy the body of the e-mail to the clipboard (at minimum, highlight the text between +++ and <<< and select the copy command.).
    After you have done this, then start our game program and select the command, "Administer Code" in the "Internet-Menu."
    Then simply click 'Copy from the Clipboard' (see picture above!). In the row above, you will see whether the information has been accepted.

  • An alternative to this process is simply to save the e-mail attachment to your hard disk.zu dieser Vorgehensweise Then select "Copy from a File" in the Code window and select the saved file when requested.

Changing Computer Registration (1 License)

Our programs can normally be used on one computer during the activation period and that a change of registration can only occur at the end of a registration period. Note, however, that the activation period for a particular computer may not be the entire duration of your club membership.

Consider the following example:

    Suppose that you have a one-year club membership. You could choose to register a particular computer only for the first three months, leaving the remaining nine months open for the same or a different computer. If you want to be able to use two computers at the same time, then a second license is required.

You don't have to wait until the end of a registration period, however. Generally, you may change computers during the last 14 days of any registration period. Here's what you do:

It's quite simple since you are already familiar with the 'Manage Code...' command and the associate window (show partially below):

We are concerned here only with the part of the window in the upper left. You will see the buttons, "Export" and "Import." First go to the computer that currently has a license. Click on the "Export" button. This will save your license information as a file.

Copy this file to the "target" computer using any method you wish: e-mail, diskette, portable hard drive, etc.

On the other computer, use the Administer Code command to display the following window.

Simply select, "Import from another Mac/PC" which will take you to the familiar administration window. In this window, simply click the, "Import" button and select the file that you copied from the old computer.

Once you have done this, you can also extend your club membership on this computer - as described above
